What are the advantages of enhanced-316/316L tubing

Except for ordinary type 316/316L steel, FITOK tubing can also be supplied in enhanced-316/316L. Ni, Cr and Mo contents of the material are in close approximation to upper values defined in ASTM requirements, among which, molybdenum content exceeds 2.6%. With increased molybdenum content, enhanced-316/316L tubing shows improved pitting corrosion resistance and perform better in corrosive marine environment containing chlorides.

Meanwhile, as the material maintains a stable organizational structure, enhanced-316/316L tubing is ideally used in high pressure hydrogen applications where hydrogen embrittlement exists.

Scope of supply for enhanced-316/316L tubing

Tubing available in enhanced-316/316L includes: TMP series instrumentation straight-length tubingTCT series coiled tubing, and medium and high pressure tubing (T15T20DT20M and T60 series).

The factory stocks a variety of sizes to meet customer requirements and shorten lead time. For more information, please contact FITOK Group or our authorized distributors.

Quality assurance

Before leaving the factory, FITOK enhanced-316/316L tubing have to go through a series of strict tests, including chemical analysis, eddy current test, pressure test, hardness test, tensile test, flaring test, corrosion test, grain size test, surface roughness test.

To protect the tubing from damage during transport, special attention is paid to packaging:

For seamless straight-length tubing, tubing ends polyethylene capped; tubing bulk packed in cardboard tubes or wooden cases.

For seamless coiled tubing, tubing ends is capped and tubing is then packed in coils and wrapped with a polyethylene film. To require packaging with wooden reel, please contact FITOK group or our authorized distributors.
